AIM

To switch play to the left or go past a defender.

 

 

STANCE

Your weight is on the front of your right foot, the ball is next to it and place left foot as indicated.

Left hand is at the top of your stick and the right hand about 15 cm lower.

Right knee is bent (otherwise right hand too high on stick), left knee slightly bent and your body is upright.

DANCE

Step forward with your left foot whilst guiding the ball forward and shifting your weight from back to front.

At the most forward point move head of stick anti-clockwise 180 degrees around ball.

Push yourself back with left front foot and pull ball back as indicated on mat.

With the ball just still in front of your right toes move stick head 90 degrees clockwise around it.

Pivot on front of your right foot and 'swing' left foot to position indicated.

Guide ball with forehand along edge of mat. (WIth 2 players you now could push pass to the left.)

COMMENT

 To go past a defender you would continue to pivot 90 degrees to the right on your front left foot.
